Most of us default to the stalemate story. When a client goes quiet, when they circle the same issue for weeks, when the energy in a session feels flat or stuck, it's easy to read that as a problem. Something we should be moving them out of. Something we haven't quite cracked yet.

I spent the weekend at Silverstone, surrounded by the noise and colour and barely contained excitement of Formula 1. And I came home thinking not about the racing, but about identity. About what happens to our sense of self when everything around us seems to be telling us a different story.
