Developing brave leaders and courageous cultures
DARE TO LEAD™ COACH & MENTOR UK
Welcome to Dare to Lead™
Hi I’m Melissa Hague
I’m a Certified Facilitator for Brené Brown’s Dare to Lead Programme. Training personally with Brené in 2019 was a transformational learning experience, and I am now on a mission to help you develop as a brave leader and build a courageous culture in your business.
I believe that we need more leaders, who are committed to courageous, whole-hearted leadership. Leaders who are able to lead from a place of self-awareness and understand the importance of human connection at work.
Dare to Lead™ is for leaders who want to...
Have the tough conversations.
Give honest, productive feedback, especially when it’s hard.
Address the fears and feelings that show up during times of change and upheaval.
Have meaningful conversations about trust, that create and deepen connection.
Bounce back from disappointments, setbacks and failures.
Take smart risks, create and share bold ideas to meet challenges.
Stop solving the wrong problems and really get to the heart of what’s going on.
Turn their values into behaviours that are actionable and meaningful.
Embrace learning and growth rather than perfectionism.
It's not enough to just 'tell' people to be braver, more courageous or to say "it's ok to be vulnerable here", you have to SHOW them how by role modelling that behaviour.
The Dare to Lead™ Programme
WHAT IS IT?
The Dare to Lead Programme is a 6-week facilitated programme. The programme is run for small groups and teams , where we dig into the skillsets of courage and engage in dialogue around the application of this work to our role as leaders.
The programme includes facilitation, self-reflection, practical activities and short videos hosted by Brené.
In between sessions, there will be additional materials and activities provided, along with support after the programme ends, to help you to implement and embed your learning.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Anyone at any level who takes responsibility for finding the potential in people and processes and has the courage to develop that potential. You may be a leader in an organisation, leading your own business or leading in some capacity outside of work.
£1200 per person. Payment plans are available upon request.
If you’d like to attend the next small group cohort or if you are interested in Dare to Lead for your team enquire today.
The programme will cover the four courage-building skillsets of:
Rumbling with Vulnerability
The foundational skill of courage-building is the willingness and ability to step into the discomfort of being vulnerable. Without this core skill, the other three are impossible to put into practice. Our ability to be courageous coaches will never be greater than our capacity for vulnerability - leaning into risk, uncertainty, and emotional exposure.
Living into our Values
Research participants who demonstrated the most willingness to be vulnerable and courageous anchored their behaviour to a couple of essential values, not 10 or 15.
Our core values give us courage and strength, especially when things are difficult.
It's a must-have in our important professional and personal relationships, but trust tends to be a vague concept. Understanding the seven evidence-based elements of BRAVING trust helps us to be specific and exchange feedback in meaningful ways that supports real change and enduring trust.
Learning to Rise
When we choose to be brave in our lives and work, it is inevitable that there will be failures, setbacks and disappointments. It is essential that we can learn and grow from these experiences and develop the resilience to get back up.
